The problem

More information hasn’t made business simpler

Most businesses already have plenty of data, systems, reports and documents. The difficulty is turning any of it into something useful before the question has moved on.

Fragmented

The answer exists. It is spread across the ERP, four spreadsheets and somebody’s inbox.

Hard to trust

Two reports on the same question disagree. Nobody is certain which one is right.

Slow to get

A director asks on Tuesday. The answer arrives Friday, and the question has moved.

Rebuilt by hand

The same file is reassembled every month by someone whose time is worth more.

Read differently

Three sites classify the same product three ways, so the group number means less than it should.

Quietly leaking

Capable people paste confidential detail into public AI, because that is the tool that works.

What we’ve built

Three solutions. Use what you need

Each one works independently. They connect where it adds value, and none of them requires either of the others. There is no order to buy them in.

HeyMi

Your business’s private AI.

AI your people can use on the company’s own numbers, contracts and documents. It runs on our servers in Australia, so nobody has to decide whether a question is safe to ask.

Data Mi

Better data. Ready for what’s next.

We clean, match and reshape business data, then turn that work into a process that runs again next month. You keep the process.

Mi

See what matters. Know what to do. Make sure it happens.

Mi reads business performance continuously, works out what has moved and why, recommends what to do, and keeps the follow-up visible until somebody has done it.

Why Mattingly

Built from the business backwards

Mattingly Intelligence is built by people with experience across strategy, operations, commercial performance, supply chain, systems and transformation. A margin problem usually involves pricing, freight, labour, contracts and product mix at the same time, and an insight only matters if somebody knows what to do with it.

A technology company might start with

What can the technology do?

We start with

What does the business need to do better?

01

Built by operators

People who have run manufacturing, logistics, packaging and waste businesses. Not a technology firm that picked a sector to sell into.

02

Practical over theoretical

We start with the work somebody does on a Tuesday, then ask which part of it technology should touch.

03

Useful beats impressive

AI and automation go where they change the result. Where they do not, we say so and leave it alone.

04

Context changes the answer

The same number means different things depending on how you contract, how your costs move and what you can influence.

HeyMi

Private AI for serious business work

General AI knows a great deal about the world. HeyMi can work with what matters inside your business, and it runs on our servers in Australia.

Use it to

  • Analyse financial and commercial performance
  • Prepare for customer and supplier negotiations
  • Review contracts and correspondence
  • Develop forecasts from history and pipeline
  • Challenge a board paper before the board does
  • Draft tenders and proposals from what you have written before
  • Work with company policies and internal knowledge

Data Mi

Fix the process, not just the file

Cleaning a spreadsheet once does not solve the problem that produced it. Data Mi builds repeatable processes around the rules your business actually needs, and hands the process to you.

CleanDuplicates, blanks, spelling, and the fifteen ways your people have written the same supplier name.
MapWhat each field in the old system becomes in the new one, agreed in writing and signed off by your people.
TransformThe agreed rules run automatically. The same input always produces the same output.
ValidateEvery record checked against the rules and against the source. Failures are listed, never guessed.
RepeatThe process is documented and yours. Next month it runs again without anybody rebuilding it.

Steps two to five run again every time, unchanged

Mi

Better decisions need more than dashboards

Traditional reporting shows what happened. Management still has to find the issue, work out whether it matters, decide what to do and make sure somebody does it. Mi is built around that second half.

Gross margin

Signal

Gross margin has declined for four consecutive months.

Interpretation

Three customers account for 72% of the deterioration. All three moved to smaller, more frequent orders after the March price review, and the changeover cost was never repriced.

Recommendation

Reprice Customers A, B and C before the October review cycle. Model the volume risk at a 4% increase first.

Traditional reporting

  • Shows what happened
  • Waits for someone to look
  • Highlights a variance

Mi

  • Explains why it changed
  • Comes to you when it moves
  • Finds the drivers behind it

Questions

Before you call

Mattingly Intelligence builds three things for Australian operating businesses. HeyMi is a private AI assistant that works with your own company information and runs on Mattingly’s servers in Australia. Data Mi cleans, matches and transforms business data through automated processes you keep. Mi is a continuous intelligence layer that interprets performance, recommends action and tracks execution, currently available by invitation. Each one works on its own.

No. HeyMi, Data Mi and Mi are independent, and most businesses start with whichever problem is loudest. They connect usefully — clean data improves every answer built on it — but none of them requires the others, and there is no order you have to buy them in.

Australian operating businesses, typically between $30m and $250m in revenue, in manufacturing, logistics and transport, and waste and recycling. Businesses large enough to have real data problems and small enough that nobody has a spare team to solve them.

In Australia. HeyMi is hosted within Mattingly’s private cloud environment on AWS infrastructure in Sydney. Your data is stored in Australia and does not leave Australia, backups are held in Australia, and processing happens on models Mattingly hosts itself instead of being sent to an external AI service.

A public AI tool has no access to your P&L, your contracts or your cost model, so it gives a general answer to a specific question. HeyMi is given that context deliberately and under your control, it runs inside Australia, and what you put into it is never used to train anybody else’s model.

They solve different problems. HeyMi is a tool your people use to work with information you already have. Data Mi is work we do to fix the information itself when it is duplicated, inconsistent or has to move systems. Mi reads business performance continuously and brings you what has changed, why it matters and what to do about it. HeyMi waits to be asked; Mi does not. Data Mi produces clean data that makes both of the others better without being required by either.

No. None of them. HeyMi runs models that Mattingly hosts and operates inside its own environment in Sydney. Your questions and your data are not sent to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, AWS Bedrock or any other external AI provider’s API. AWS provides the underlying infrastructure, the same way it would for any Australian-hosted application, but no external AI service sits in the path of your question.

One conversation, with someone who has run a business like yours. You describe the problem you are trying to fix. We tell you which of the three helps, or whether none of them does. You do not need to work out which product you need before you call.
